SeaWolves countdown: 26 days ’til opening day
26 days until the season opener: Fernando Rodney was second in the majors with 48 saves last season with the Tampa Bay Rays.
He pitched for the Erie SeaWolves in 2001 and 2002, totaling 26.2 innings pitched in the two seasons. The flame-throwing Rodney struck out 26 batters in those 26.2 innings.
