The Miami Marlins are counting on Giancarlo Stanton to be a big part of their offense this season.

I’d even say he could be their only offense this season.

His spring got off to a rough start when he was plunked in the head during a simulation game by top pitching prospect Jose Fernandez.

X-rays were planned, according to an Associated Press report, but the team said there were no signs of a concussion.

Here’s a clip:

The Florida Marlins are no more.

Enter the Miami Marlins.

Here’s a look at their logo.

The team unveiled the new look last week.

It’s colorful, but I’m not a huge fan of it. The logo doesn’t look like a visual for a professional sports team.

Not to be outdone, the Toronto Blue Jays went retro, bringing back a vintage style.

This, I like.

I immediately think back to the Jays’ sluggers from the past, like Jesse Barfield, George Bell and Joe Carter.

Nice move, Jays.
