Ouch.

That was the sound of my fantasy baseball team hearing the news that Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg likely will have Tommy John surgery and miss the next 12 to 18 months.

One of my teams was playing extremely well a month or two ago. It was anchored by Tim Lincecum and Strasburg.

Now, Lincecum is struggling and Strasburg will be under the knife and has a long rehab ahead of him.

The one person who doesn’t lose in this whole mess is agent Scott Boras. I don’t think he’ll be seeing any cuts in his take for negotiating Strasburg’s record-setting deal.
