Nothing has changed.
The Erie BayHawks are still ninth in the D-League playoff chase, but the Utah Flash beating Bakersfield on Tuesday night helped the BayHawks. Only eight teams make the playoffs.
The Jam (25-22) have now fallen from sixth to seventh, but remain ahead of the Albuquerque Thunderbirds (23-21). The reason that’s significant for Erie (24-22) is because the BayHawks own the tiebreaker against the Jam.
Erie does not own it against the Thunderbirds.
So if Erie finished 3-1 in its last four games and Bakersfield went 2-1 in its last three games, the two teams would finished tied and if the final playoff spot was up for grabs, Erie would get it.
Then again, there are so many scenarios to consider. Think I better put out a help needed ad for this.
