It’s hard to believe that at one time, Jayson Williams was one of the most beloved players in the NBA.
Had the big personality. Big desire to get rebounds.
Now he’s in even bigger trouble.
The latest involves him allegedly trashing a suite “in a suicidal rage” and having to be subdued by a stun gun.
For those who don’t know, Williams was an All-Star center with the New Jersey Nets before suffering a career-ending injury in 1999.
He faded out the public eye before getting charged with reckless manslaughter in the death in February 2002 of a chauffeur. Williams even tried to make a comeback in 2005 in the CBA for the Idaho Stampede, which is now in the D-League, but failed to make back in the NBA.
Now with his retrial coming up in the manslaughter case, Williams is in even more trouble. Is this as bothersome to you all as it is to me?
