Make that 1-6 against Maine.
The Erie BayHawks won their first game ever against the Red Claws in their last game of the season in beating the expansion Red Claws, 105-97, at Maine.
For a season that went south, for Erie (21-29) to win its final two games, that speaks for what pride means.
The BayHawks were without rookie point guard Cedric Jackson, who signed a 10-day contract with the Washington Wizards so that makes the two wins even more impressive even though Springfield has the D-League's worst record at 7-43.
After last night's win against Springfield, Erie veteran forward Jackie Manuel said he wasn't trying to lose tonight against Maine.
"It's going to be playoff intensity," Manuel said.
Blake Ahearn has scored 63 points in his last two games, but he added nine assists and eight rebounds. He earned his keep while in Erie.
Check out the game replay later tonight on Versus at 11 p.m. and check out the Erie Times-News for the season wrap up on Monday.
