PLAYERS TO WATCH

Erie — PF Ivan Johnson (A 2011 D-League All-Star, Johnson leads the BayHawks in scoring at 20.7 points a game and 7.4 rebounds. Johnson is the only Erie player to play and start in every game this season.) … SF Tasmin Mitchell (In his last eight games, Mitchell has averaged 26.1 points as Erie’s sixth man off the bench.) … SG Garrett Temple (Has played two games with Erie since returning after two 10-day contracts with the Milwaukee Bucks. Had 25 points and 11 rebounds in Friday’s 132-110 win at Texas.)

Iowa — C Courtney Sims (A 2011 D-League All-Star, Sims was the 2011 All-Star MVP.  He was one of three starters from Iowa in the All-Star game with Othyus Jeffers and Curtis Stinson the other two. Sims is averaging 16.8 points and 9.5 boards. … PG Curtis Stinson (Leads D-League in assists at 9.2 per game. Coming off a 19-point, 16-assist effort in Iowa’s 130-107 win Friday against Sioux Falls). … SG Othyus Jeffers (Team’s leading scorer at 21.4 ppg. Has had 23 games in which he’s scored at least 20 points.

FAST FACTS
Erie
— Is 9-1 in its last 10 games. Had its franchise-best 8-game winning streak snapped in Thursday’s 117-115 loss at Tulsa.  … In his two games with Erie, PF Alton Ford has scored two points total in 14 minutes. He’s attempted only four shots from the field. Ford has played in the NBA for the Phoenix Suns and Houston Rockets. … PG Blake Ahearn is coming off a 23-point, 11-assist effort in Friday’s 132-110 win at Texas.

Iowa — Is 1-1 against Erie this season. Othyus Jeffers hit a game-winner at the buzzer in Iowa’s 104-103 home win Dec. 17 against Erie, but the BayHawks won the rematch, 114-110, at Iowa on Christmas Day. … The Energy have won seven of their last eight games. … Erie and Iowa will face each other four more times after Sundays’ game. Three of those games will be at Tullio Arena.
