Penn State Behrend’s popular winter baseball clinics return beginning Jan. 23. The clinics, run by Behrend baseball coach Paul Benim and his staff, focus on a different skill each week for five weeks and are open to players ages 6-18. Players may sign up for a single session or multiple sessions.
I’ve sent my sons to these clinics and they are well-run and worthwhile for players of any level.
All clinics are held at Junker Center. Registration is $25 per session.
The schedule is as follows:
Jan. 23: Pitching or catching skills
Jan. 30: Offensive skills
Feb. 6: Infielder or Outfielder skills
Feb. 20: Offensive skills
Feb. 27: Pitching or catching skills
Session times are 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for all ages, with the exception of the Feb. 20 and Feb. 27 sessions, where ages 6-11 and attend from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and ages 12-18 attend from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
