Erie youth Danny Serafin returns broken stick to former Mercyhurst hockey star Meghan Agosta

This is just a cool ending to a cool story. See Erie resident Daniel Serafin’s note below, which refers to a recent column I wrote about Mercyhurst College hockey star Meghan Agosta’s search for a broken hockey stick that held sentimental value for her because of its connection to her late dog.

John,

What a neat story. Thought I would give you an update and everybody keeps asking what ever happened with the stick? Think a lot of people missed the last update. It’s OK with us if you would like a great ending  of the story. Enclosing a couple of pictures from Friday. Danny and Megan talked back and forth on their cell phones for a couple of days. We met up Friday night in front of the Mercyhurst ice rink. Danny  got Megan a stuffed yellow lab (slap shot) with a graduation cap holding her stick, and Megan  brought her new puppy Rocky with her. It was so nice. She is great athlete. She brought Danny a ton of stuff, her Canadian hockey stick, an Olympic tuke that he hasn’t taken off, great pictures of her in the Olympics, and many other items that he will remember for a long time.

Thank you again for all your help,

Dan
