One more reason to get excited about the coming steelhead season: The first Great Lakes Steelhead Expo is scheduled for Nov. 5 from 1-9 p.m. at Rainbow Gardens.

The Pennsylvania Steelhead Association is sponsoring the event, with help from the likes of Lake Erie Ultimate Angler, FishErie.com, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission and other partners.

A schedule of events hasn’t been worked out yet, but organizers promise there will be vendors, guides, clubs and fish and wildlife agency folks on hand from all around the Great Lakes.
