Jack Fiske: 1930-2011

Condolences to the family of Jack Fiske, of Millcreek Township and Findley Lake, N.Y., who died Aug. 6.

Fiske, 81, was was president of Fiske & Sons Inc. He also was a U.S. Navy expert rifleman and an avid hunter who had traveled to six continents. A lifetime member of Safari Club International, he is tied for No. 4 in the group’s record book for Western Bongo killed with a rifle. Many of his trophies were donated to the Findley Lake Nature Center.

Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass Aug. 12 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Cathedral, 230 W. 10th St.

Memorials may be made to the Findley Lake Nature Center, P.O. Box 634, Findley Lake, NY 14736; Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701; or the Findley Lake Fire Department, Findley Lake, NY 14736.
