Plan your Presque Isle State Park hike Jan. 12

Join the park naturalists for four hikes at Presque Isle State Park on Jan. 12, Winter Hikes Day. There are no fees or registration, and the hikes are open to participants of all ages.

  1. Multipurpose Trail hike: Meet at 9 a.m. at the Stull Interpretive Center for an easy walk.
  2. Long Pond Trail hike: meet at noon at the East Pier parking lot for a 2-mile hike.
  3. Dead Pond Trail hike: Meet at 3 p.m. at the Pine Tree Pavilion, near the lighthouse, for a 2-mile hike.
  4. Gull Point night hike: Meet at 6 p.m. at the Gull Point trailhead in the Beach 10 parking lot for a 5-mile, 2.5-hour hike.

Be sure to dress for the weather.
