The B.A.S.S. Mid Atlantic Divisional Tournament in July on Presque Isle Bay and Lake Erie will feature takeoffs and weigh-ins at Perry Monument in Presque Isle State Park.

Details for the July 21-26 tournament were announced today. Erie was first announced as the tournament host in November.

The public is invited to all takeoffs and weigh-ins. Launches will start at 5:45 a.m. and weigh-ins will take place at 2 p.m. daily

There also will be a Junior Bassmaster divisional July 26.

The tournament features 12-person teams with two juniors and three alternates from each B.A.S.S. Nation state chapter. The top prize is a Skeeter TZX 180 Bass Boat with a Yamaha 150 motor valued at more than $35,000. The Carhartt Big Bass of the tournament will receive a $500 award; the $250 Livingston Lures Leader award goes to the day-two leader.

More than 100 anglers will take part from the region that includes Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey and Delaware. Winners will qualify for the B.A.S.S. Nation National Championship and Bassmaster Junior World Championship events.

The tournament will be streamed live  on www.bassmaster.com.

The fourth episode of the General Tire Summit Cup, filmed in August on Chautauqua Lake, airs tonight at 9 on the Outdoor Channel.

The Jack Link’s Major League Fishing airs six times a week. A total of five episodes over a five-week period will air on the Outdoor Channel. The championship round will be broadcast Feb. 9 at 1 p.m. on NBC.

Each day of the six-day competition comprises one episode. A seventh episode will feature fishing tips from the pros.

Each episode will premiere on a Thursday at 9 p.m., followed by rebroadcasts Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m., Sunday at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday at 1 p.m., and Thursday at 11 a.m.

Major League Fishing is a partnership between the Outdoor Channel and 24 top anglers. Competitors are not allowed to practice before events. Summit Cup participants knew they’d fish Chautauqua Lake only two days before the start of the event.

Filming was coordinated by the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce and the Chautauqua County Visitor’s Bureau in cooperation with Major League Fishing.

The second episode of the General Tire Summit Cup is scheduled to be broadcast on the Outdoor Channel tonight at 9.

The Major League Fishing tournament was filmed on Chautauqua Lake in August. Day Two competitors are Edwin Evers, Kelly Jordon, Jeff Kriet, Aaron Martens, Ish Monroe, Takahiro Omori, Skeet Reese and Dean Rojas.

Each day of the six-day competition comprises one episode. Each of the first five episodes will premiere on a Thursday at 9 p.m., followed by  rebroadcasts Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m., Sunday at 4:30  p.m., Tuesday at 1 p.m., and Thursday at 11 a.m.

As part of the commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Lake Erie, and Erie’s role in that victory, the Perry 200 Commemoration Commission is putting on a series of events in the coming year.

One is the Perry 200 Fishing Challenge on May 30 on Lake Erie. Put on in conjunction with S.O.N.S. of Lake Erie, it will feature multiple age divisions and prizes.

The 2013 Cabela’s Bassmaster Federation Nation Mid-Atlantic Divisional will take place on Lake Erie July 22-26, 2013, out of Presque Isle State Park.

The Cabela’s Bassmaster 2013 schedule was released Monday.

Teams form each state advance to regional divisionals. The top angler from each state advances to the Cabela’s Bassmaster Federation Nation Championship, which is scheduled to take place in October or November at a site to be determined.

Ben Lipiec and Brock Henderson won the eighth annual Channellock Bass Classic July 27 on Conneaut Lake.

The duo’s prize for winning the pro-am event was $1,250 for catching eight fish with a total weight of 15.82 pounds. Lipiec and Henderson also won an additional $330 for catching the heaviest fish (3.91 pounds).

Ernie Pate and Kevin Beachy finished second in the Classic, catching eight fish for 15.73 pounds and earning $750. The third-place prize of $500 went to Darren Potts and Jon Polley (15.63 pounds).

Danny Jones, of North East, and Phil Ness were fourth (14.96), earning $375. Steven Hughes and Lon Wilson, of Meadville, rounded out the top five at 14.28 pounds and winning $250.

The Classic, which benefits the United Way of Western Crawford County, raised a Classic record $21,000. The event also had its highest-ever turnout of 33 teams.

The annual Channellock Bass Classic Team Tournament is scheduled for July 27 at the Iroquois Boating & Fishing Club on Conneaut Lake.

The pro-am will feature 25 teams or pros and event sponsors. Amateur registration fee is $200

Takeoff is at 7 a.m. and free, public weigh-in is at 1 p.m. at the club dock. The top five teams will earn cash awards including $1,250 for first place.

The event benefits United Way of Western Crawford County.

Bass anglers Dave Lefebre of Harborcreek Township and Danny Jones of North East will compete in the EverStart Series Northern Division event on Lake Champlain this weekend.

Competition starts today at 6 a.m. and runs through Saturday. The tournament is based in Plattsburgh, N.Y.

The winning pro will earn $35,000 and, with Ranger Cup bonuses, could win a new boat. The winning co-angler will win a Ranger 177TR and $5,000 in Ranger Cup bonuses. The top 50 pros and 50 co-anglers from a field of as many as 300 will cash.
