Bennett Smith, 7, caught a 44-inch carp May 20 at Perry’s Landing Marina. He was fishing for bluegill when he got into the carp, which measured 26 inches around. The fish was released.

Nick Lohrer, of Fairview, caught a monster carp June 30 while fishing from the North Pier. A crayfish got the attention of this 45-inch fish, which weighed an estimated 45 pounds to 50 pounds. Lohrer released the carp.
