North East’s Danny Jones is one of 200 boaters who will fish for the $100,000 top prize Nov. 3-6 at the Toyota Tundra BWS National Championship tournament at Guntersville State Park in Guntersville, Ala.

The 200 boaters and 200 co-anglers each will fish three days to try to qualify for Sunday’s 25-person finals. The winner also will qualify for the 2011 Bassmaster Classic.

Second place in the boater division is worth $20,000 and third place $10,000. The top 50 boaters will win at least $1,300 each.
Jones, 19, qualified by finishing 29th out of a field of 186 anglers in the Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Weekend Series regional championship Oct. 22-23 on Kerr Lake near Henderson, N.C. The top 50 finishers advanced to this week’s event, which will feature anglers from more than 40 states.

Jones wasn’t the only angler from North East who fished the North Carolina event.
Keith DiLuzio and his wife, Rebecca DiLuzio, each fished as co-anglers. Keith DiLuzio finished 102nd, 20 spots ahead of Rebecca DiLuzio in the 180-person field.
