The Three Rivers Chapter of Muskies Inc. is making a donation to the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission today to benefit the muskie stocking program.

The bait fish funds will be used to buy and raise minnows to feed the muskies that are reared at the Linesville State Fish Hatchery and stocked into Pennsylvania waters.

Three Rivers Muskies Inc. ran a fundraiser in April, selling $2 raffle tickets for changes at a muskie charter on Chautauqua Lake, use of Allegheny Guide service and a fishing guide on Lake Arthur.

Or musky. You pick. In either case, the toothy fish have been in the news recently. Here’s why:

1. An albino muskie could be a record.

2. Anglers in Green Bay, Wis., swear by their muskie waters.

3. Fly fishing for muskie is an entirely different proposition than using conventional tackle.

And for details on muskie fishing in Pennsylvania, check the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission page that includes a map of top destinations.
