Congratulations to Warren Emling, 73, of Erie, who shot the biggest buck of his career Nov. 7 at 10 a.m. in Waterford Township. The 8-point had an 18-inch antler spread and dressed out at 174 pounds.

Archer Rob Pollock shot this 10-point in Erie county Nov. 3. The 4 1/2-year-old deer had an outside antler spread of 21 inches and 5-inch circumference main beams.

James Wolfgang, owner of Wolfgang Products LLC in Saegertown, shot a buck of a lifetime in Crawford County during archery season. The heavy 9-point had a 21-inch inside spread and 23-inch outside spread. Wolfgang estimates it will score in the 140s-150s range on the Boone & Crockett scale.

John Sherwood, of Union City, killed a 12-point Oct. 30 in Erie County. The buck field-dressed at 195 pounds and had a 19.5-inch antler spread.

Terry Ellsworth, 51, of Wattsburg, shot a 9-point Nov. 2. The buck, which had a 17-inch antler spread, is his 35th archery deer.

Jennifer Kuhar, 13, of Erie, shot her second career buck Sept. 29 at 5:14 p.m. in Farmington Township, Warren County. She shot a 7-point during the 2011 general firearms season.

The Erie County Christian Bowhunters will put on a 3D archery shoot Sept. 15 at the Edinboro Conference Grounds, 12940 Fry Road.

All archers are invited to the non-sanctioned, non-competitive practice course. Instruction and equipment will be available. There is a snack shop on site.
