Shawn Garver Jr., 11, of Erie, caught a bowfin in Presque Isle Bay in mid-July. The fish was 28 inches long and weighed 7 pounds.

Dan Morey, of Harborcreek Township, caught and released a bulky 29-inch bowfin while wading in Presque Isle Bay on April 16.
