The second episode of the General Tire Summit Cup is scheduled to be broadcast on the Outdoor Channel tonight at 9.

The Major League Fishing tournament was filmed on Chautauqua Lake in August. Day Two competitors are Edwin Evers, Kelly Jordon, Jeff Kriet, Aaron Martens, Ish Monroe, Takahiro Omori, Skeet Reese and Dean Rojas.

Each day of the six-day competition comprises one episode. Each of the first five episodes will premiere on a Thursday at 9 p.m., followed by  rebroadcasts Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m., Sunday at 4:30  p.m., Tuesday at 1 p.m., and Thursday at 11 a.m.

The championship round will be broadcast Feb. 9 at 1 p.m. on NBC. A seventh episode will feature fishing tips from the pros.

Major League Fishing is a partnership between the Outdoor Channel  and 24 top anglers. Competitors are not allowed to practice before events. Summit Cup participants knew they’d fish Chautauqua Lake only two days before the start of the event.

Filming was coordinated by the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce and the  Chautauqua County Visitor’s Bureau in cooperation with Major League  Fishing.

The Antlers & Anglers Sportsman’s Showcase is scheduled for Oct. 6-7 at the Crawford County Fairgrounds.

The event is put on by Armstrong Cable with sponsorship by Outdoor Channel, which will send Neal Rohrbach as its representative. Rohrbach is host of the TV shows “Outdoor Channel Outfitters” and “Ultimate Outdoors.”

Rohrbach will meet fans throughout the event and will give Q&A sessions Oct. 6 from 12:45-1:15 p.m. and 3:45-4:15 p.m. and Oct. 7 from 12:45-1:15 p.m.

Proceeds benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania, which assists in hunger-relief initiatives. Admission is free with the donation of a non-perishable food item.

The showcase opens at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 6 and again at 11:15 a.m. Oct. 7. Check out the other vendors and presenters and the event schedule.
