There’s new photographic evidence of a bird that’s talked about a lot but rarely seen. Brian Berchtold photographed a Piping Plover Saturday at Presque Isle State Park, where policy is written around rare sightings of the bird.

Two stories for the wildlife lovers in all of us:

1. Fishers are increasingly being seen in Erie and Crawford counties.

2. The rare piping plover was spotted Wednesday at Presque Isle State Park, its only known breeding site in Pennsylvania.
