The most striking bird you’ve never seen is back in northwestern Pennsylvania.
The wood duck favors quiet, still waters and has found plenty of nesting sites on Presque Isle State Park and at Erie National Wildlife Refuge and Geneva Marsh, among other places.
Erie Times-News graphic reporter Chris Sigmund brings the reclusive woood duck to you on Sunday, April 25, in the first of nine monthly NWPA Outdoors Poster Series entries. Learn more about the birds, including where to see them, in this special clip-and-save page.
