Wreh-Wilson on list of invitees to NFL Combine

Blidi Wreh-Wilson

General McLane graduate Blidi Wreh-Wilson is one of 333 college players who have been invited to the NFL Combine this month in Indianapolis.

Wreh-Wilson starred at cornerback for Connecticut and was voted team MVP after his senior season in 2012.

The 6-foot 2-inch, 190-pounder’s nameĀ is last on the invitee list, which is listed in alphabetical order. He will be one of 60 defensive backs who will participate in front of NFL scouts at the combine, which is one of the key scouting events leading up to the NFL draft. The players perform in a variety of drills, such as the 40-yard dash, shuttle drill, bench press, vertical jump and position-specific drills.

The combine runs from Feb. 23-26. Wreh-Wilson and the rest of the defensive backs are scheduled to appear on the final day.

Wreh-Wilson is ranked sixth out of 32 cornerbacks on nfl.com’s recent rankings. The draft is scheduled for April 25-27.
