Last week, we reported that no Erie County players were on the Penn State football roster this season.
That has changed.
Dudas, a defensive back, graduated from Girard in 2011 and played the next two seasons for Bucknell of the Patriot League. He started 16 of his 22 games at Bucknell, finishing 10th on the team with 27 tackles as a freshman and fifth on the team with 46 tackles as a sophomore. He also had three tackles for loss, including two sacks, in 2012.
Dudas is listed on the Penn State roster as a 6-foot, 208-pound defensive back and will wear No. 34. He must sit out the 2013 season before completing his final two years of eligibility at Penn State beginning in 2014.
Penn State officials confirmed that he will practice with the Nittany Lions this season.
