Mercyhurst University will induct seven former Lakers’ athletes and one administrator into the school’s Athletics Hall of Fame on Saturday, June 7, as part of the fourth annual Mercyhurst Reunion Weekend festivities.
The Class of 2014 inductees include Brian Haberstock (football, Class of 1991), Jeanna Hartmann (field hockey, 2003), Lyndsi Hughes (women’s volleyball, ’05), Andrew Schonhoff (men’s water polo, ’10), Christine Somera (women’s water polo, ’08), Adam Tokash (men’s volleyball, ’00), Jim Zorn (men’s volleyball, ’00) and Dr. P. Barry McAndrew. McAndrew was a professor at Mercyhurst for 41 years and has been The Voice of the Lakers at both football and basketball games for several years.
The 18th annual Mercyhurst Hall of Fame ceremony also will celebrate the reunion of the field hockey, football, men’s and women’s tennis, volleyball, and men’s and women’s water polo programs.
