Willie Alford scored 1,064 career points for Gannon College from 1961 to 1965, leading the Golden Knights to the postseason in 1962 for the first time. He was inducted into Gannon’s Hall of Fame in 1983.

The Edinboro athletic department will host a food drive Saturday when the men’s and women’s basketball teams host California (Pa.) in a doubleheader at McComb Fieldhouse.
The women’s game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. The men’s game is scheduled for 3 p.m.
Anyone donating a canned good or non-perishable food item will be admitted free to the doubleheader.
All donated items will go to the Edinboro Food Bank, which will distribute the donated items to needy Edinboro students.
Anyone who wishes to contribute a food item without attending the basketball games can drop off items in the McComb Fieldhouse lobby.
