Tickets for the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional women’s basketball tournament will go on sale Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. at the Hammermill Center, but fans should be aware of the detailed ticket policies.

Gannon and Edinboro both will play in the eight-team tournament, which opens Friday, continues with Saturday’s semifinals and concludes with Monday’s title game.

Although the tournament will take place on Gannon’s home court, NCAA bylaws dictate ticket policy for the regional.

As a result, Gannon season ticket holders who want reserved seats in plush and chairback must buy in advance on a first-come first-served basis, and those who purchase reserved seats must purchase a four-session, all-tournament pass at a cost of $40. Gannon season ticket holders must show their pass when buying a ticket. Only one ticket per season pass may be purchased. The reserved seating sale will continue until 4 p.m. today and then will move to Carneval Athletic Pavilion Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

No credit cards will be accepted; cash and checks only.

If any reserved seating remains unsold, those seats will go on sale to the public Thursday at 8:30 a.m. at Carneval Athletic Pavilion.

General admission tickets for all-tournament passes also will be sold in advance Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Cost is $24 for adults and $16 for students and senior citizens.

On Friday, fans may buy Session 1 tickets at 11 a.m. Edinboro will play during this session.

Session 2 tickets will be sold at 5 p.m. Gannon will play during Session 2.

Single-session tickets are $10 for plush or chairback seats, $6 for adult general admission or $4 for student/senior citizen general admission.

For more information, go to www.gannonsports.com or call the Gannon athletic department at 871-7416.
