I have snowshoes…mostly because of the Highmark Quad. Funny thing is, I’ve never used them in the Quad because every year I sign up for the Quad games, there ends up being no snow for the ski event (here’s hoping for 2011, eh?).

But…I may have to get the old shoes out after all (I got them for about $100 at Sam’s Club a few years ago) because I read this article about running in snowshoes.

Now…I’m not ready to run in those suckers yet and I doubt mine are the kind that you even CAN run in, but…I am inspired enough to maybe strap them on before the Quad ski event in January. Unless, of course, my registration chases old Jack Frost out of town again (a girl can dream).
