Smile for the camera

It’s like a train wreck. I have to look at the race photos they take when I do a marathon, and I’m almost always horrified.  I critique my stride (race photos prove that I’m a heel striker), I hate my arms a little more, and I laugh at  how I run with my thumbs up.

But, I actually bought one from the Niagara Falls Women’s 1/2 Marathon I did last week because:

A.) I saw the photographer, so I had a chance to pose pretty

AND

B.) It was reasonably priced — just $10 for a medium res. digital download (and there was none of that bullshit “transfer or processing fee” the others love to slap on top of a digital download…robbery!).

* Have you ever been a victim of race photo extortion buy a professional race photo?

* Ever see a race photo of yourself that didn’t make you cry cringe LOL vow never to wear those shorts again?

* See what I mean about how I totally heel strike?
