This week’s question: What’s the last song stuck in your head during a run (or the one you pressed replay on again & again?):
“Sunglasses at night” by Corey Hart— Monica Lewis
“September” by Earth, Wind & Fire — Ann Linkimer
“Footloose” by Kenny Loggins! — Sarah Rose
“Call me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepson — Dennis Albrewczynski
“Black Betty” by Ram Jam — Kristen Gehrlein
“Hey sexy lady!!” by Psy —Karen Groshek
“Are you gonna be my girl?” by Jet — Theresa Konzel
“Anything on my Donna Summer Pandora station. Yeah, ’70!” — Ange Eberlein
I came up with this question after a morning weight training workout in which I continually pressed “back” to repeatedly listen to Staind’s “Please,” which was pretty much my theme song a couple years ago. It’s heavy, hard and full of foul language — perfect for tossing heavy weights around.
When I’m not trying to run hard or lift heavy, this is the song that I can’t get out of my head. You’ll notice it’s a much more mellow theme song than my previous one. Reflects some life changes:
