The Erie Runners Club’s monthly newsletter stuffing is tonight (Monday, Jan. 7) starting at 7 p.m. at the Plymouth Tavern. They typically work in the “loft,” located near the outdoor patio. Depending on how many people show up to help, it takes less than an hour to do the newsletter stuffing (folding, stuffing, taping, labeling), then the wings, beer and pretzels arrive so that volunteers can stuff their bellies courtesy of the club (their thanks for helping with the newsletter).
The whole thing is fun to participate in — it’s organized chaos at it’s best. And, it’s a great opportunity to meet other runners and make new friends. If you’ve got nothing to do, stop by and lend a hand (and get a free dinner).
BTW — the club’s 2013 Registration is now open. More info here. (Note: ERC membership year is from February to February, so if you buy a membership now, it’s good through February of 2014). Why join? Jim Lang lists the reasons here.
