Valentine’s Day race results & photos

It was another icy race on Sunday morning for the Erie Runners Club’s Valentine’s Prediction Run at the Rotary Pavilion. I had predicted my pace at 8:22, but changed it to 8:50 once I saw the course as we drove in. I should’ve left it alone because I ended up running an 8:19 pace, thanks to my ice cleats (once again…they saved my butt!).

Results for the race can be found here in two formats — overall and by pace prediction.

Remember, that the point of this race was to predict your pace, so the chocolate prizes went to those who came closest to accurately predicting their pace (be that 11-minute miles or 6-minute miles).

The Hubs was just 2 seconds off his predicted pace, which was good enough to score the BIG BAG of sponge candy. Wahoo! Even though I was 21 seconds off, I still won some chocolate as there were a lot of prizes and you had to be present to win. :-)
