Boston: Too soon to just write

group run2SMALLER

Today is a “Just Write” day, but I’m finding that hard to do here.

I wrote this, but then felt it wasn’t reverent/respectful enough to post on this blog with this audience—you, my running family.  Also, a part of me cringes when a national tragedy occurs and bloggers and writers immediately race to their keyboards to be the first to write inspiring commentary on it.  But, then, it’s how they “deal” and process and reflect — writers write, runners run.

For me, though, it seems too soon to process, reflect or “just write,” so I leave you with Facebook post that I thought summed up the inherent defiance found in every marathoner:

“If you’re trying to defeat the human spirit, marathoners are the wrong group to target.” – Mighty Brighties
