MINNEAPOLIS – The Mercyhurst College women’s hockey team dipped one spot to fifth in this week’s USCHO.com Women’s Division I Poll.
The Lakers (20-5-0, 9-0-0 CHA) earned 96 points after going 2-1-0 last week, falling to second-ranked Cornell 3-0 before sweeping College Hockey America opponent Robert Morris by the scores of 6-3 and 7-1 on the road.
Wisconsin remained the country’s top-ranked team with 145 points and 10 first-place votes. Cornell came in at second with 140 points and five first-place nods, followed by Boston University in third with 118 points and Minnesota in fourth 98 points.
Minnesota Duluth (75), North Dakota (54), Boston College (46), Providence (39) and Quinnipiac (9) rounded out spots 6 – 10.
