OTTERS UPDATE: Otters’ Sadikov earns OHL goaltending honor
The Erie Otters’ Ramis Sadikov was named OHL goaltender of the month for February, the league announced Friday. He earned the honor despite missing the final week and a half with a leg injury.
Before being injured, he posted a 7-1-0-0 record with a 2.12 goals-against average and .933 save percentage in eight games. Windsor’s Ryan Ellis swept the player and defensemen honors (five goals, 27 points in 13 games). He’s the first defenseman to earn player of the month this season. Sarnia forward Nail Yakupov was named the top rookie (eight goals, 17 points in 10 games).
