The Erie Otters have acquired 18-year-old defenseman Jimmy McDowell from Oshawa for a fourth-round pick in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection and an eighth-rounder in 2015, the club announced today. The Dimondale, Mich., native had seven goals and 27 points in 144 career games with the Generals. He has one goal, seven points and was a plus-4 in 34 games this season.

The OHL’s trade deadline arrives at noon today.
