Erie Otters goaltender Devin Williams still suffers from the effects of a concussion suffered March 2 against Saginaw. He has the “same symptoms that I was having before,” he said during the club’s annual awards banquet Sunday at the Bayfront Convention Center.
Williams failed to pass several concussion tests in the past two months. He underwent his latest test earlier this weekend, but hadn’t learned the results yet. He can’t begin preparing for the 2012-13 OHL season until he passes a test. “Sitting on the couch right now; that’s about it,” he said.
Yet Williams isn’t concerned about being ready for the season. “I’m getting better,” he said. “I’ve already got (training) planned out for after I get healthy. I’ll be ready to go.”
