OTTERS UPDATE: Williams has rough outing in U-18 loss

BRECLAV, Czech Republic – Erie Otters goaltender Devin Williams earned his first start at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament on Wednesday.
He didn’t fare well in an 8-6 loss to Finland in the United States Under-18 Select Team’s final preliminary-round game. He didn’t last long either.
Williams allowed four goal on 11 shots before being replaced 4 minutes, 19 seconds into the second period.
The U.S. completes tournament play Friday against Slovakia at 9 a.m. Williams didn’t play in the opening two games – a 2-1 SO loss to Russia on Monday and a 5-2 loss to Czech Republic on Tuesday.
