OTTERS EXTRA: Otters head to Hanover to face the Attack

The Erie Otters head to Hanover, Ontario, on Sunday looking to rebound from consecutive preseason losses.
The Otters face Owen Sound in a 2 p.m. game at a sold-out P&H Centre with a depleted roster, especially up front. They will play without seven players at NHL rookie camps – goaltender Oscar Dansk (Columbus), defensemen Troy Donnay (N.Y. Rangers) and Adam Pelech (N.Y. Islanders) and forwards Connor Brown (Toronto), Andre Burakovsky (Washington), Dane Fox (St. Louis) and Stephen Harper (Philadephia). Jake Evans (knee), Hayden Hodgson (shoulder), free agent Fabrizio Ricci (shoulder) and Joel Wigle (shoulders) are out with injuries.
The Otters had 17 skaters, one below the maximum allowed to dress for a game, in a 4-2 loss in Barrie on Friday night. But coach Kris Knoblauch had to play two rookie defensemen – Patrick Murphy and Jesse Saban – at forward because the Otters have only nine available forwards on the roster.
Fans can listen to the broadcast from Bluewater Radio 91.3 FM. Steve Fitzsimmons and Bill Granger, the longtime voices of the Guelph Storm, will call the action.
