OTTERS EXTRA: EIA sound system being tested today

The Erie Insurance Arena has testing the sound system before Otters practice today. Although I could hear PA announcer Dean Pepicello and the music during Saturday’s home opener, apparently people on the bottom level couldn’t hear well. The players had a difficult time hearing their names being called during pre-game introductions. Now I can’t hear anything except the ringing in my ears…
By the way, the Cornerstone Crew – the team I play for in the Erie Adult Hockey League – makes their debut in the newly renovated EIA on Oct. 19, before the Otters’ game against Ottawa. I don’t imagine we’ll draw 5,711 fans to that game.
