OTTERS EXTRA: Evans injured in loss to rival Rangers

The Erie Otters may have lost more than a game today in Kitchener. From what I’ve been told, F Jake Evans appeared to suffer an apparent leg injury in the loss. He left the game in the third period and didn’t return.
The Otters already are without C Kyle Pettit, who suffered an upper-body injury Saturday against Niagara. Patrick Murphy took Pettit’s place against the Rangers.
That’s two valuable role players knocked out of the lineup in a span of two games. Now we just have to learn the severity of these injuries, and how long they will be sidelined.
I’ll post an update on their respective conditions from Tuesday’s practice both here and on Twitter.
