OTTERS EXTRA: Update on Otters’ Pettit, Wigle

Erie Otters C Kyle Pettit has what’s being listed as an upper-body injury, and no timetable for his return to the ice has been determined. So you would think Pettit will miss Monday’s game in Kitchener. He was injured while colliding awkwardly into the boards early in Saturday’s win against Niagara.
Meanwhile, no word yet from OHL officials on whether RW Joel Wigle will be suspended for a major checking

to the head penalty and game misconduct against the IceDogs. After the game, Wigle said he struck D Aleksandar Mikulovich on the upper chest. Mikulovich hit himself across the head with his own arm while trying to protect himself from the hit.
