Niagara IceDogs (18-29-2-5) at Erie Otters (42-10-2-0)
When: Today, 7 p.m.

Where: Erie Insurance Arena
On the air: WFNN-AM/1330, www.ottershockey.com (live stream)
Up next: at Kitchener (Monday, 2 p.m.)
What to watch: The Otters complete their six-game, regular-season series with Niagara tonight. They have won four of the first five. But the IceDogs handed the Otters one of only three home losses this season, 4-3, on Jan. 24 (25-2-1-0). … The Otters can tie the franchise’s single-season record of 26 home wins, set in 2000-01, with a victory. … They also can move closer to the franchise mark of 45 wins held by that 2000-01 club. … Erie has won three straight and seven of eight since consecutive home losses to Guelph and Niagara midway through January. … The Otters trail the Storm by one point with 14 games left in the race for the OHL’s regular-season and Western Conference championships, which would secure home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs. … RW Connor Brown (40 goals, 69 assists, Otters-record and OHL-best 109 points) has points in nine straight games and 17 of his last 19 overall. … LW Dane Fox (56-35-91) needs one point to move into the top five on the Otters’ single-season list. He would tie Greg McKegg (92 in 2010-11) for fifth, one behind fourth-place Zack Torquato (93 in 2009-10), four behind Rob Hisey (96 in 2003-04) and seven behind Cory Pecker (99 in 2001-02). … Brown and Fox are the league’s highest-scoring tandem since C Charles Sarault (22-86-108) and LW Reid Boucher (62-33-95) for Sarnia a season ago. … The IceDogs are ninth in the Eastern Conference with 43 points, one behind Ottawa for the eighth and final playoff spot. Nine point separate seventh-place Mississauga and 10th-place Belleville. … The IceDogs have lost two straight and seven of the last 10 games, including 7-1 and 9-2 home losses to Sudbury and Barrie in their last two outings. … LW Brendan Perlini (28-33-61) remains sidelined with a reported shoulder injury. … C Carter Verhaeghe (26-44-70) leads the IceDogs in scoring.
