Glenn Gault Jr. enjoyed a taste of the Main Event Racing Series last season, as he competed in one asphalt Late Model race for Reeves Racing. “It went well,” said Gault, 32, a Late Model veteran at Lake Erie Speedway. “Now we run more shows (with that team).” He still searches for his first win and top 5 finish. Yet, he ranks 11th in points this season, despite running a car that he said has consistently encountered mechanical troubles. “I like it a lot more,” he said.
He appreciates the increased competition level. At LES, Gault said, only two drivers – Sharpsville native Will Thomas and George Skora III, of Eden, N.Y., are comparable to Main Event drivers. “(There are) just a couple more guys that know what they’re doing,” said Gault, a native of Hubbard, Ohio.
