Summer travel teams heavily represented by Mercyhurst Prep and Cathedral Prep players will compete in today’s baseball doubleheader at Jerry Uht Park. It’s the first such doubleheader for the EPN Lakers on the Erie SeaWolves’ diamond.
The EPN Lakers will take on Dunkirk, Ohio, in the 5 p.m. opener, then challenge the Prep Roadrunners at approximately 7:45. There’s no charge for either game.
Managed by Randy Durkoske, the EPN Lakers returns to play in the Erie area after a week-long series of games at Freeport. They finished 8-3-1 overall, with its 2-2 tie coming against a team from Japan.
