Outlook: Coach John Campbell begins his fifth season at LeBoeuf seeking a replacement for 1,000-yard running back Blake Hockett, one of District 10′s elite during the 2008 regular season. Campbell shouldn’t be short of candidates, given he expects at least 50 students at camp and the Bisons’ time-tested habit of running the ball. Richie Kolesar is the early choice as Hockett’s successor. Kolesar only rushed for 226 yards as a junior, but averaged more than four yards per attempt. … LeBoeuf graduated two starters on its offensive line, including all-region pick Joe McIntire. A plus in that area is the return of Matt Kowle, another all-region pick. The Bisons’ roster listed Kowle at 314 pounds. … Another plus for LeBoeuf’s line play could be versatile tight end Brandon Bradney, who can block and also makes for an inviting target for projected quarterback B.J. Arrowsmith. … The Bisons catch a small break with only four road games this fall. Their non-region matchup with St. Marcellinus marks the second straight season they’ll host the Mississauga, Ontario, school.
