Football coverage from Friday’s D-10 football

(Note to newspapers subscribers. The Times-News had press difficulties Friday, so newspaper deliveries are running late in many areas. Thank you for your patience. All subscribers should have their Saturday editions before noon.)

Here’s what’s included in Saturday’s edition. General McLane earned a close Region 4 win over North East, while McDowell topped Seneca Valley and former Cathedral Prep coach Don Holl. Meanwhile, Prep set a school record for rushing yardage in a big win over Buffalo St. Joe’s. Leading our District 10 roundup, quarterback Scottie Frisina had another impressive outing in leading Corry to a rout of Franklin.

We also have photo galleries of the McLane-North East, McDowell-Seneca Valley and Harborcreek Youth Services-Iroquois games. Also, check out the gallery from Thursday’s Northwestern-Fairview game.

Also, check out Friday’s District 10 game stats and state scores.

Look in the two previous posts for star performers and the Saturday Morning Quarterback recap.

In Sunday’s edition, we’ll have coverage of the Strong Vincent-Central Tech and West Middlesex-Mercyhurst Prep games. Check out previews of those two games.
