High School Volleyball State Rankings

After a thrilling five-set win over rival Maplewood, the Cochranton girls volleyball team moved up to No. 6 in Class A in the latest Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association poll.

Although the Tigers lost, Maplewood moved up to No. 8 after a number of upsets around the state this week.

    I was at that match and it was very exciting. I couldn’t help but notice that the large cat-like animal painted on the Maplewood gym wall was, in fact, not a Panther, but rather a Tiger. It was the stripes that gave it away.
