Cody Johnson, RB, Oil City: 16 rushes, 200 yards; TD runs of 37 and 68 yards

Without a doubt..Jared Lane.
Played on 2 torn hamstrings and toughed it out.
Jared Lane smokes the defenses and if it weren’t for his hamstring injury (to both legs), his stats would be burning up the district too.
Great running abilities; good sense finding the holes and awesome break away speed for his size.
More importantly is his toughness and making the big play in pain last night.
Can’t imagine what kind of year he would be having if he was 100%.
What about Cody Johnson? A 200yd game should speak for itself.
Absolutely Jared Lane.
Cody Johnson RB – Oil City 16 rushes for 200 yrds 2 touchdowns, and a 2pt conversion.
A 61 yard touchdown with blown hamstrings? Jared Lane should get it hands down.
There were several great performances this past Friday night in District 10 football. The statistics above only tell part of the story. JARED LANE was the TOP PERFORMER.
Jared Lane’s performance is what high school sports is all about–not record book numbers, but a player doing whatever it takes to help his team get the win. He gets my vote.
I think Luke Trucilla has really added a spark to the Ramblers defense. He hits with a prupose and finds the ball. It seemed against East that he had at least 5 solo tackles, 7 assists. He knocked away 2 passes and had one pick. I think more emphasis should be put on key defensive players of the week and not just the offensive standouts. In fact, I think they should list the top offensive players each week and also the top defensive players. Phil Hampy is also coming into his own for Prep.
Jared Lane gets my vote. Gutty performance.
Jared Lane
I vote for Jared Lane.
