Frisina has big task to break big record

It’s likely that breaking the District 10 career passing record has become a secondary issue for Scottie Frisina.

Having said that, the Corry quarterback still has a chance to accomplish that feat when the Beavers take on Cathedral Prep in the district’s Class AAA semifinals. Corry (7-3) and Prep (8-2) will meet Friday at 7 p.m. at Veterans Stadium.

Frisina needs 214 yards to break the district record of 5,060, held by West Middlesex graduate Kolten Hoffman. His career total is 4,847 going into the semifinal against the Region 6 champions.

The Corry-Prep winner will face Strong Vincent or Grove City for the district championship.
