Only six hours left in the breakout polls and the votes are flying in. There are more than 4,400 votes cast already and the total could reach a record 5,000 tonight.
One note to everyone emailing us. The system is set so fans can only vote once on each network. This is in place to avoid someone from sitting there and voting 100 times over and over. We can’t count the votes coming in by email because each person can only vote once. Fans are encouraged to spread the word through family and friends to vote for their favorite as the time winds down.
Make sure to check the Varsity blog at midnight for the four winners this week and to vote on the inaugural Breakout Team of the Week poll. Each week fans can nominate a player or team but they must provide details on why the player or team should be chosen. Nominations for players must be turned in by 5 p.m. on Saturday and teams by 5 p.m. on Tuesdays.
